Easter Sunday is always an energizing time. The hymns are just upbeat, people are excited to be at church and the sermon is uplifting. Kids are excited to tell what they found in their baskets this morning.

Today was no different.
We entered the sanctuary to find the Chrismon tree stripped of its limbs, really ugly. But Katie Guthrie invited us to bring flowers to the cross to transform it in to something beautiful.
The end result was truly a work of art that we moved outside after worship.
During Children’s time, they collected the coins for Society of St. Andrews for the last Sunday. They are so fun to watch as they collect the coins (and some green stuff). After they pour their collection in to the bucket, they place their hands over the bucket to pray for it.
Then Ray always shares time with them, asking questions and connecting the Bible reading with stories that they can understand.
It was a great day. If you missed it, hopefully this little post will give you a taste of what happened.
