Another good night for Revival. The evening started off with sharing of blessings. Lots of laughter and joy. One blessing was to have Elaine Lassiter in worship with us. Elaine has been in our prayer warrior ministry for many weeks.
Then a sharing of concerns.
Next, Oliver Mitchum joined Sarah Alexander, from Pittsboro UMC, in providing some wonderful music, ranging from classical to hymns. Oliver, we all know, plays the piano and Sarah joined him on violin. Check out Facebook for the videos.
Doug then shared a story of a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where they ministered to so many. During an evening, they prayed with several prostitutes. Doug said he felt so unsettled because, while believing in the power of prayer, felt that something else needed to be done for a young 15 year old prostitute by the name of Michelle. The next day they hired Michelle for the day to help them in ministry to an orphanage and other areas. It didn’t get Michelle off the streets but hopefully it changed her life.
It takes more than just prayer to minister. Sometimes we are the answer to the prayers of others.
Doug also brought items from his mission ministry.
Join us on Tuesday night for another time of revival.
