Thursday, 10/8 was the first night of a 4 night Bible Study series on the Church and People with disabilities. We looked at hearing impairment and how the church can help.
Kristie is a speech language pathologist who is trained in American Sign Language. She shared information about her experiences with people who are deaf or who have limited hearing. She also “sang” a song in sign language.
And while the study was going on, Kimmel was using her court reporter skills to show how closed captioning works. We were able to login via our phones to see the closed caption.
It was a great start to the study.
October 15 will focus on mobility and John Gush and Don Bartholf will share their stories.
