We finished our study and discussion with Charles Hall and John Gush talking about their military experiences. Charles, as you may remember, works for the Durham VA and is in an unique situation to see veterans with disability.
Charles reminds us that we can care for our vets, whether we see physical wounds or not, through the following ways:
- Say thank you to them for their service
- Take care of the families left behind
- Don’t ask them what they saw overseas.
- If you are in a restaurant and see a vet, buy their meal anonymously.
- Buy a brick for the memorial garden at the Pittsboro VFW.
Thanks to all who attended the sessions.
