On Saturday, 6/4 we have our 3rd annual progressive dinner. What’s a progressive dinner you ask? It is an evening of fellowship and gluttony. We have 4 host families and participates go to house 1 for appetizers, house 2 for salad, house 3 for entree and house 4 for dessert.
This year Randy and Angie hosted us for appetizers of pizza fondue, grandma’s pickles, spinach balls, veggies and hummus.
We left there to travel to Monica and Tom’s for garden salad, fruit salad, pasta salad and congealed fruit salad (some call fluff).
Then we waddled over to Jamie and Karen’s for some out of this world jambalaya, loaded with rice, chicken, sausage and grilled shrimp. Several enjoyed eating outside on the porch. After that we got to meet Jamie and Karen’s new daughter, Lucy. Lucy made herself right at home in Monica’s lap.
Then we rolled ourselves over to Joe’s for dessert, featuring homemade cookies, fudge and carrot cake.
We all should have prayed for forgiveness for gluttony. It was a great time of food and fellowship. Can’t wait to do it next year.
