Each Mother’s Day Sunday the men of the church cook a great southern breakfast for all to share. Today was no exception. Scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, and bacon! Grits, gravy homemade biscuits and more. It was a wonderful feast.
Then during worship, the sanctuary is adorned with roses. Today we had more than usual. The florist gave us more roses than were ordered and then donated them to those who can use them. The roses are purchased at $5/stem in honor or memory of someone. The money is then given to the Methodist Retirement Homes Benevolent fund. A beauty to the sanctuary and a ministry to residents at the Methodist homes.
