Join Dot Walker after 11:00 worship on Sunday, November 18th for Paintings and Pastries, an art sale benefit for Brown’s Chapel United Methodist Church’s Building Improvement fund. Dot and Dave Walker graciously donated Dot’s beautiful paintings to help raise needed funds. Prints and original paintings will be available for sale in the Fellowship Hall. Cash or check is accepted. Please share the word with your neighbors, friends and others in the community. All are welcome!
Dot Walker has been interested in art since childhood, but because of the demands of a family she got a late start. She loves to paint old barns, landscapes, birds, flowers, Southwest and Indian paintings. Dave Walker often photographed scenes and objects from their extensive travels. Her preferred medium is watercolor. Dot says painting is an emotional experience. It has a calming effect and gives her a real sense of being and value. She strives to give her paintings a realistic feel, thus her nickname, “The Realist Painter”.
A huge thank you to Dot and Dave for their generous donation.
Note: We cannot accept credit cards at this time. Please plan to pay by check or cash.
