The Missions committee served up breakfast for dinner to raise funds for the various mission activities the group coordinates.
The guest speakers were from US Veterans’ Services, a local non-profit who provides a food pantry, housing, toys, memorial services for veterans.
Then there was a hands on project were items needed by veterans moving in to transitional housing were packed in to totes. As vets get off the streets in to temporary housing, they can use these items to get back on their feet. Twenty four totes were assembled. Even the youngest kids got in on the work.
