The Missions committee facilitated a work team to Whiteville, NC to help restore a house. This area was hit hard by Hurricane Florence in 2018 and many homes have not yet been repaired. Our team went and put up sheet rock. When they got there, the house just had studs in place. When they left, all rooms except 2 and a couple of closets still needed sheet rock. The NC UMC Conference Disaster Coordinator said the house actually looked like a house.
