Ash Wednesday begins the time leading to Easter. During Lent we will focus on the theme, “Glory in the cross.”
Janice led the worship and prayers. The sanctuary was darkened, the cross was dark and we focused on choices we have made.
The youth created handmade wire crosses. We are to have them available for others to see and to ask about our beliefs.
We were privileged to have Steve’s son, who has just finished divinity school and moved to our area. He shared ashes at the end of the evening.
