5th Sunday in Epiphany. We continue to learn more about how to be disciples of Jesus.
Today, Ray shared in the sermon about growing up in a community where everyone basically did the same work, farming. And, therefore, the community all seemed to wake up at the same time, worked the same hours, ate meals at the same hours and went to bed at the same hour. Ray shared his culture shock when he went to college only to find out that there were people in the world that didn’t follow the same routine as his home community. Ray then challenged us using the words of Paul in Corinthians. Meet people where they are so that we can share the good news. For those that have the strong hope of God all the way to the ones who are hanging on by a thread. Meet them in their place and share the Gospel.
