Last week we offered parking lot and live streamed and video worship with the plan to review this week.
Given that our youth and school personnel are back in classes and a goodly number of our workers are back in person, I will offer all the options of in person worship as well as the parking lot and live streamed and video this week. I encourage everyone to choose the method of worship that is comfortable and safe for them. I remind you that this Sunday is Baptism of the Lord Sunday when we read of the story of Jesus’ Baptism and the story of how baptism was perceived and taught in the early church. Traditionally on this Sunday we celebrate baptismal renewal. If you are not in person, I invite you to have some water with you as you listen or view the worship service so that you may participate. If you are in person you will be invited to stand before the baptismal font as I pour water over your hands. I will be masked and trust that to be safe for those participating.
It has been suggested that groups meeting in smaller spaces will need to evaluate meeting, such as Sunday School or committee meetings or to arrange for another method of meeting. We have several groups that were scheduled for meetings this week. I will ask the leaders to contact me with their plans and I will include that information in the church calendar which will be distributed tomorrow.
Thank you for your prayers for our church and for each other. I encourage you to participate in some form of weekly worship and spiritual growth.
